Where to begin...

Well, hello again!! I have been MIA for a year, I know...but I'm back! We have been living in Seattle since June 2010 and will be moving back to Dallas in July! Here is a picture update from most recent to earlier in our journey. Enjoy!

We thought Spring had sprung...almost;)

This is at Ray's Boathouse for Patrick's (brother in law) birthday...yummy! Look at that SPRING Seattle weather!

We also got to experience the Red Hook Brewery tour which really just consisted of standing around in a room a trying a few differnet styles of beer...it was fun none the less!

Morning sunrise at the VA

Arkansas Hoe-Down for Tyler and Sarah's wedding...great time with the fam!

Birthday cake fun

Landry at Christmas in Lubbock!

We got it home in one piece!

At our first real-life tree farm!

Big snowfall at Thanksgiving...thought we were in for a wet winter!

Fun with Lanny on Lake Washington beach after dinner!

Also, a real-life pumpkin patch with a hay bale maze and all!

Fall Foliage and Lanny as a bumble bee at Halloween!

O Canada!

In September we got to travel to Victoria, Canada and tour the Butchart Gardens...it was unbelieveable to say the least!

Dinner date when Melissa and Nate came to visit...on the water at sunset!
In Lubbock in August to celebrate Jen and Patrick's wedding...

First camp out as a family on the Olympic Penninsula. Jay really thought we were "troopers"!

Real life rain forest we got to hike through on our camping trip!

Early trip to visit Mt. Rainier! Pretty awesome family time....a little farther away than we thought. ;)

More pictures and updates to come! I'll try to blog more often than once a year...

What we're doing now...

So, we're moving to Sunny Seattle!! We will be moving the last week of June, and will be back June 2011. Jay will be attending a residency program at the Puget Sound VA Hospital. Here it is...

Just driving through a neighborhood...

And a blog post wouldn't be complete without little missy...here she is carrying her phone around the house talking. Wonder where she learned that...girl after my own heart!

Her hair grew like crazy over night!

1 year down...

Can't believe its been a year since we welcomed our little girl into the world! What a gift!!! This year has been filled with so many great memories; here are a few clips from her 1st birthday party! Megan went above and beyond to make it a special day for Lanny and stay within a budget. My favorite is the giant cupcake she baked! I'm blessed beyond measure to have these girls in my life...

Rosebud Earrings

I found a website where you can order all of the supplies to make these super cute rosebud earrings. Here is where you can place your order.

Here are the earrings I made. They literally take 30 seconds to make.

Here is what you'll need:

-Hot glue gun
-Cabochons (the rosebuds)
-6mm stainless steel posts

Just a little glue...

Turn the rosebud upside down...you'll need to let them dry for about 1 minute like this.

The big rosebud look...

Halloween Happenings

Short and sweet...
Landry as a pink unicorn. We took her to the church "trunk or treat carnival" and had a wonderful time. She LOVED seeing everyone dressed up and wasn't scared of any costume...not even a man-sized gumby!!

Our good friends, the Coopers, threw a fabulous Halloween Party and costumes were required...so I am Raggedy Ann and Jay is the Tooth Fairy! We had a blast!

i love fall..

It's chilly outside and warm inside...nothing better!! It's time to sit by the fire, drink something warm, and spend some time with family!

We went to the Arboretum to take the traditional American "fall pictures" in the pumpkins...

She really only cared about the hay...

I think I got it all out!?!?!

Happy October!!!!

New Hat!!

Lanny Kay in her Doc Band...

She's not super crazy about her helmet...but she's doing really well! She has to wear it 23 hours a day (take it off for bath time and to clean it) for approximately the next 3-4 months! YIKES, that's a long time!
