Helmet...just in time for football season!!

On Sept 9, Landry will be the proud owner of her very first "helmet"!!!

The technical term is a "doc band". Landry is in the monitoring phase of physical therapy, which means she's doing great...but as she learns new developmental skills we will make sure she doesn't slide back into old habits. However, her head is still flat! We don't have all of the details on how long she'll have to wear it, but it shouldn't be more than a few months!

Cousin Pierson had one too...

but now he's done and his head is SO pretty! I'm taking ALL decorating ideas...

San Antonio for the weekend

We went to San Antonio a couple of weekends ago to check out some post-doctorate options for Jay...more school!!! We had a marvelous time! Here are some pictures from the River Walk...

We also got to spend a lot of time with Megan Lynn (friend from hygiene school) and her husband, Chach. Megan has 2 babies...Kennedy (2 1/2) and Matthew (4 mo.) We had a great time catching up!

Landry LOVED Matthew...and look at how big he is!! Landry is 6 1/2 mo. here! Kennedy wasn't at lunch, so we didn't get any pictures with her...but she was SUPER cute!

Congratulations Kim and Danny!! Kim and I went to hygiene school together. She is such an encourager and a loyal friend. Kim is always up for an adventure and will make whatever you're doing together more fun than it ever could have been without her! She's just that girl, you know!?!

I am so excited for you two! It is a special time in life when you join in battle with the one the Lord has prepared for you. I love you Kim!

A month in pictures

SUMMER'S HERE!!! We've been pretty busy...but we're having a great time!

Jay planned a date night. He said that we were going to a nice dinner and then to the Arboretum to a jazz/blues concert. That sounded like fun...so off we went. After dinner he started driving toward downtown (the opposite direction of the Arboretum) but I didn't notice. He stopped in a parking lot and that definetly caught my attention. He said that we would rather go to the JAMES TAYLOR CONCERT instead and pulled out two tickets!! I LOVE JAMES TAYLOR!!!!! We had awesome seats! I was so surprised and we had a wonderful time!

We took Landry to the pool in her ladybug raft! She loves swimming with her daddy!
